Thanks to our Conference Planning Group and APSE Secretary Revd Dr Andre Groenewald, the 2020 Online Conference materials are now on the APSE website. Attendees have already been given a password to access these.

OWING to the ongoing uncertainty of the Coronavirus situation Woodbrooke (our 2020 conference venue) have been unable to give us a firm undertaking as to whether they will be able to host and accommodate us on 3rd-4th November 2020. They have said, however, that they would be prepared to carry over our deposit to 2021 and look forward to welcoming us then.
In the light of this the board have decided to defer the proposed residential conference to a date in June 2021 yet to be agreed with a theme yet to be determined.
For administrative simplicity the board would like to offer those who have booked for the 2020 residential conference the following choices
• Carry over your booking to a 2021 residential conference intact
• Cancel your booking and request a refund of conference fees paid less £50
Rates for the rescheduled residential conference in 2021will be held for those delegates who carry over their bookings from 2020 to 2021. No guarantees can be made for those who cancel and subsequently choose to rebook.
New style event...
This year, instead we plan to hold a remote conference on or around 3rd-4th November 2020.
This online event will largely feature the content planned for this year’s residential event programme on ‘Groupwork within Pastoral Supervision’ as the speakers have agreed to adapt their material for online delivery. Full details will be available soon.
Those who wish to attend the remote conference in November 2020 will need to book separately. The cost will be £50.
To book for the remote November 2020 event complete a 2020 Remote Conference Booking Form paying the participation fee of £50 either by bank transfer (preferable) or by cheque to be sent with the booking form to the address shown on it.
Dates for the 2021 residential conference will be announced as soon as they can be agreed with Woodbrooke. Plans to hold a residential conference in Scotland will now be deferred until 2022 at the earliest.
