COLUM has served as a priest for 49 years and his now semi-retired. Thirty of those years were served in traditional parish ministry. Chaplaincy played a major role in his ministry, in hospital, hospice and education. The final years were given to those in the cruel world of seafaring both as port chaplain and trainer of chaplains and prospective chaplains worldwide. He is committed to enable reflective practice in those who minister, especially on the margins.
