I have been an accredited member of APSE since since shortly after it was founded and as a health care chaplain of 26 years standing (in hospice, acute and latterly mental health care) have been engaged with pastoral supervision throughout that time. I have wide experience of education and training including leading, organising, or speaking at workshops, seminars, symposia, lectures, webinars and conferences. I am an Anglican priest (ordained 1994).
I have extensive knowledge and awareness of the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of wellbeing that are crucial to human flourishing and seek to continue to develop this awareness in my work as a pastoral supervisor. By completing doctoral studies in psychotherapy (2016), I have been able to further develop and integrate my experience and knowledge in this field which has led to editing the book Psycho-spiritual Care in Health Care Practice (2017: Jessica Kingsley) and founding the Oxford Centre for Spirituality and Wellbeing. I retired from full time ministry in the NHS and now work on a freelance basis.
