Sally has over 35 years’ experience in ministry including over 20 years as a theological educator. The session draws on her PhD on
shame in the church which she completed for her ordination training and her more recent book, “Shame and the Church Exploring and Transforming Practice”. She is an independent researcher, educator, trainer and mentor and is an Associate Minister of a church in Birmingham.
The workshop: “Perspectives on Shame and Pastoral Supervision” is developed from a session Sally delivered to an APSE regional group and focuses on insights on shame as they apply to a pastoral supervision setting. It will be delivered online, there will be an opportunity to ask questions but no small group work.
